Ljubisha Stojanović
born in Mostar, in 1936. He completed his primary and secondary school education in Kumanovo. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree at the Department of French Language and Literature within the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, in 1961. Advanced training in French: Grenoble, Besançon, Dijon and Paris. He has been an essay writer and a literary critic for more than 40 years.
Books of essays: Messages of the poetic cosmos (1989), Seekers for the word (1995), Elevated and new (1998), Virtuous wizards of creation (2001).
Prose translations from French into Macedonian include Balzac, Garaudy, Merimée, Boisdeffre, Valéry, Herberish, Goffette, Roy, Junod, Koltz, Lambersy, Junod-Pellaton, Kamanda, etc.
Translations from Serbian into Macedonian include Lainović and Dimitrievska-Pejčić.
Translations of poetry from French into Serbian include Junod-Pellaton and Junod.
Prizes and awards include “Božidar Nastev”, “Golden pen” (for literary translation) and “The Knight of Academic Palms”, given by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of France.
Have given many lectures at the French Cultural Centre, as well as promotions of books of essays, ans translations. Have participated at various scientific symposia in the country and abroad.
